Technical Account Management

I have worked in the technology industry for over 30 years. For the past 15+ I have focused on customer facing Technical Account Management. My love for technology and ability to work between vendor and customer to ensure the best technical outcome for both has been a cornerstone of my career and something I would love to help your organization with. About

I started my career in technology right ourt of high school in the late 80s. I was always keen on technology and had found my time spent with my zx81/spectrum and then IBM XT was something I could turn into a career. My first role was as a programmer for a small business that provided a full accounting solution to its clients. From there I moved into a very large corporate (Nampak) where I ended up leading their IT services before being offered a role by Microsoft. I spent the better part of 5 years in various customer facing roles at Microsoft before moving to a startup in the early 00s, working for another large customer facing corporation and even starting my own consultancy. After my move to Australia I held several positions including Chief Architect for a global construction company before finally settling into a role as a Technical Account Manager at VMware in 2009 where I stayed for 14 years. This included another move to Silicon Valley to build and lead the newly formed TAM team for the US west coast. I have remained a TAM ever since as I feel my unique technical as well as customer facing skills position me in a favorable way to both vendors as well as customers who both require a trusted advisor to ensure long term success.
